What you'll learn
One of the great strengths of Python is that it's accessible to many people, and it's relatively easy to be productive and create valuable code in Python without formal training in software fundamentals. Over time, though, a lack of attention to software engineering details can lead to programs that are difficult to understand, modify, maintain, and share.
In this talk we'll look at some general concepts in software engineering, as well as concrete practices for working in Python, that will help elevate your programs from sufficient to exceptional. We'll look at ways to think about "internal" issues in software design as well as more visible issues such as testing and distributing your code.
