GitHub Enterprise offers a variety of deployment options and services with different billing tiers. In this course, you’ll learn how to select the correct GitHub Enterprise deployment option for a given task, and how to plan for and manage expenses.
What you'll learn
Not all collaborative software development tasks are alike, and when it comes to GitHub deployment and licensing, the correct choice can mean the difference between a successful or failed project. In this course, GitHub Deployment and Licensing, you’ll learn to distinguish and select between different GitHub Enterprise (GHE) deployment options, and to manage costs. First, you’ll explore different GitHub Enterprise deployment options, Cloud, and Server, and how they work for different tasks. Next, you’ll discover GitHub Advance Enterprise, an even more advanced tool for more sophisticated enterprise scenarios. Finally, you’ll learn how to manage and monitor billing for Enterprise solutions and metered products. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of GitHub deployment and licensing needed to make the optimal decision, given team size and security requirements, of GHE deployment options, and to optimize license costs.
