Pluralsight LIVE 2020 is Going Virtual

Pluralsight LIVE 2020 is going virtual—find out more now.

May 14, 2020 • 3 Minute Read

To say much has changed in the last two months would be an incredible understatement. The global COVID-19 pandemic has forever changed the world and ushered in a period of unprecedented uncertainty.

While we are hopeful the worst is behind us, we are a long way from a return to normal. I’m optimistic that over the next several months, some aspects of our lives will begin to feel familiar again. However, even with great progress to contain the spread of COVID-19, we will all have to remain on guard. One area where we need to be particularly vigilant is large gatherings.

With that in mind, we have made the decision to transform our annual user conference Pluralsight LIVE in Salt Lake City into a virtual experience for 2020. This decision was not an easy one to make, as we enjoy convening our community annually in Salt Lake City, but we believe it’s the right decision. The health, safety, and well-being of our customers, team members, and partners are the top priorities for us and we would never do anything to put anyone in jeopardy. We are also strongly committed as a company to doing all we can to slow the spread of COVID-19, and that starts by limiting large gatherings.

Though LIVE will be virtual, we will continue to offer a robust multi-day experience starting on October 13. Best of all, we are making it FREE for anyone to join in our annual user conference where we bring together the brightest innovators and visionaries to explore a world with limitless potential. This is going to be an amazing experience for our customers and anyone else who wants to join us to benefit from the inspiration that fuels innovation.

Technology leaders and their teams will have the opportunity to level-up their skill development programs and discuss how they can and should double down on investments in their technology skills strategy during these challenging times. Technology leaders will benefit from conversations on developer productivity and why it’s so important now with remote working to keep their teams engaged and driving towards their technology strategies. Finally, attendees will also get up to speed on the latest in technology, which is especially important in times where technology innovation is vital to the ability of businesses to not just survive, but thrive when they come out on the other end.

All of this is on top of our exciting product announcements and amazing keynote speakers. In past years, we featured phenomenal keynote speakers, including Michelle Obama, Ellen DeGeneres, Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai and more. Our speakers this year promise to be even more powerful and we are excited to announce our keynote speakers in the coming weeks. Of course, as is always the case, we will have a diverse line-up and are committed to our continued focus on having an even split of gender representation on stage.

There is something to be said for seeing our customers face-to-face and building new connections. We are committed to recreating this experience in a virtual environment through networking opportunities and amazing experiences to build connections that will last long after Pluralsight LIVE wraps up. We will create a dynamic environment to learn first-hand from customers, industry professionals, and our expert Pluralsight authors.

Fortunately, we have a lot of practice at creating virtual connections — because, after all, it’s in our company DNA. It’s been over ten years since Pluralsight switched from an in-classroom technology training company to a cloud-based technology skills development platform. That meant we switched to using technology to teach technology, and in our new COVID-19 world, we are now going to use technology to have conversations about technology and build connections.

We have the experience and know-how to seamlessly transition Pluralsight LIVE to a virtual event and I’m personally inviting you to register to attend. I look forward to virtually seeing you there.
