Welcoming Scott Dorsey and Karenann Terrell to Our Board
One of the great privileges I have as CEO of Pluralsight is the opportunity to seek advice and counsel from our incredible board of directors. Their input and ideas have been a critical part of our growth and success over the past few years.
Our executive team continually looks for new insights and expertise that will help us move forward and progress as a company. And when we find thought leaders who can help and inspire us, we want to make sure those lines of communication stay open.
So I’m pleased to announce that we’ve added two new members to our board of directors — Scott Dorsey and Karenann Terrell. Both of these talented and experienced leaders bring fresh perspectives to our business as we continue to help our customers accelerate innovation and navigate disruption. In fact, we’re already benefiting from their unique perspectives.
Scott Dorsey is Managing Partner at High Alpha, a venture studio that launches and supports next-generation enterprise cloud companies. They have strong capabilities in product development, marketing, finance and brand development. In his role, Scott focuses on building strong leadership cultures that empower cloud companies around the world. Scott was the co-founder and CEO of ExactTarget, the leading provider of digital marketing automation and analytics software. Scott took ExactTarget public before Salesforce acquired the company in 2013.
Karenann Terrell currently serves as the Chief Digital and Technology Officer at GSK, a global healthcare company that develops pharmaceuticals, vaccines and consumer health products. Karenann is responsible for GSK’s digital, data and analytics strategy. She’s worked with a wide range of partners, both inside and outside the healthcare industry, to identify critical new technologies for GSK. Before taking her current role, she led the transformation of Walmart’s data, analytics and digital engagement with its customers.
In addition, current board member Gary Crittenden, Executive Director at private equity firm HGGC, will take on a new role as Lead Independent Director and Chair of the Nomination and Governance Committee.
With their experience, you can see why we were eager to give these industry leaders important seats on our board. They will help deepen our expertise in a variety of ways, question our thinking from new perspectives, and help our customers around the world keep up with technology and close their skills gaps.
There’s an adage that says you are the average of the people you surround yourself with. Pluralsight just got smarter.
Welcome, Karenann and Scott. And congratulations, Gary. We’re thrilled to have you on our board.
