Pluralsight Will Add Tekpub’s Training to its Rapidly Expanding Library of More Than 1,100 Courses for Developers and IT Admins 

Tekpub Co-Founder and Creative Director Rob Conery Will Continue to Author Training Videos for Microsoft and Open-Source Technologies at Pluralsight 

Tekpub is Pluralsight's Third Addition in Three Months, Coinciding with the Full Integration of Open-Source Resource PeepCode and IT Training Network TrainSignal in Early October  

SALT LAKE CITY – Online training platform Pluralsight announced today a significant addition to its developer offering with its purchase of Tekpub, a leading provider of high- quality technical screencasts for programmers. The acquisition, Pluralsight's third since receiving $27.5 million in funding from Insight Venture Partners in Jan. 2013, further establishes Pluralsight as a premier training hub for software developers and IT administrators. 

Tekpub's premium screencasts on C#, Ruby, JavaScript and others will be integrated into Pluralsight's fast-growing course library over the coming months. Earlier this month, Pluralsight completed the integration of all content from its previous acquisitions — open-source resource PeepCode and IT training network TrainSignal — expanding its online platform to more than 1,100 courses for more than 400,000 tech professionals across 100 countries. 

Rob Conery, co-founder and creative director of Tekpub — known in the tech community for his innovative and engaging style of screencasting — will continue to author training courses on Microsoft technologies, open source and his other specialties. Like PeepCode's Geoffrey Grosenbach and TrainSignal's Scott Skinger, Conery brings the level of technical proficiency that enables Pluralsight to serve expert-level users.

Since Tekpub's establishment in 2009, the site has gained a strong following among industry experts, many of whom were featured in Conery's popular "Full Throttle" videos, a running series of unvarnished, up-close-and-personal interviews and walkthroughs with famed coders. Notable Tekpub guest instructors have included Scott Hanselman and Jon Skeet, two of the most respected names in the developer community. By engaging leading experts as course authors, Tekpub and Pluralsight alike have helped familiarize thousands of users with new and emerging software technologies in a matter of hours. To Conery, one of the biggest considerations was this shared passion for providing users with access to the best minds in the business.

All told, more than 4,500 corporate members rely on Pluralsight for professional development, including HP, Intel, Capgemini, Schlumberger, Citigroup, Accenture, State Farm, Fidelity and Philips 66.
