  1. Challenge

Getting Started in the Lab Environment

    ● Here are the initial instructions and explanation of the lab environment. Read this while your environment is busy creating itself from nothing. Yes, this violates physics; we know. How fun!

  2. Challenge

    Uncovering Network Reconnaissance

Analyze provided NetFlow data and Suricata alerts to identify signs of network reconnaissance, such as port scanning or OS fingerprinting. The objective is to use the pre-converted NetFlow data and pre-generated Suricata alerts to pinpoint the source and method of the reconnaissance activity.

  3. Challenge

Detecting and Analyzing a DDoS Attack

Using pre-converted NetFlow data and pre-generated Suricata alerts, identify and analyze a simulated Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. Determine the characteristics of the attack, including its source, target, and impact on the network.

  4. Challenge

    Investigating a Malware Infection Scenario

Analyze pre-processed NetFlow data and Suricata alerts to trace a malware infection within the network. Identify the infection vector, command-and-control (C2) communications, and any lateral movement or data exfiltration attempts.

  5. Challenge

    The Last Challenge

    ● Welcome to the final challenge! This is your last chance to experiment in the environment. Clicking Finish Lab will end this little world that flittered into existence just for you.
