Getting Started in the Lab Environment
Here are the initial instructions and explanation of the lab environment. Read this while your environment is busy creating itself from nothing. Yes, this violates physics; we know. How fun!
Challenge
Scan Networks for Hosts with Open Ports using NMAP
During this challenge, you will be instructed on how to run two simple NMAP scans to determine which hosts are online in the network. By running these commands, you will also see which ports are open on each of the hosts.
Challenge
Interrogate Hosts with Open Ports using Zenmap
During this challenge, you will be introduced to Zenmap and how it can provide a GUI aspect to see the network vulnerabilities. You will use Zenmap to run additional NMAP scans to see even more detailed information about hosts to continue to build out your network diagram.
