Create and Connect to an EC2 Instance
In this lab you are going to go through the process of creating an EC2 Linux instance via the AWS console. Then you will be connecting to said instance with SSH as well as running your first set of updates to confirm that you are the safe and secure.

Login to AWS
Upon starting up the lab enviroment you are given cradentals to login to AWS within a new window copy and paste those credentials into the login screen

Navigate to the EC2 Section of the Console
From the landing page of the AWS console, you can use the search function type in "EC2" and click on the EC2 section of the console.

Create an EC2 Instance
In the EC2 section of the console you can build your EC2 instance by clicking the orange "Create New Instance" and follow the instructions with the video for specifics of what you are building out

Connect to Your New EC2 Instance
After your build is complete you will be connecting to this instance through SSH. You can do that through a virtual console that is accessible once the lab envirorment has been completed, or a terminal (Linux and Mac) or through Putty (Windows)

Update Your New EC2 Instance
After you have sucessfully connected to your instance you are going to update your shiny new instance.
