Using Dynamics for Destruction in Maya
Throughout these Maya tutorials we'll take a look at using Maya's nCloth dynamics system to create an effect where a fully animated character will crumble into pieces based on pre-animated masks. Software required: Maya 2015, After Effects CC, RealFlow 2014.
What you'll learn
Throughout these Maya tutorials we'll take a look at using Maya's nCloth dynamics system to create an effect where a fully animated character will crumble into pieces based on pre-animated masks. In addition we'll cover using nCache to mix and match animation and simulations. Finally, we'll finish this Maya training by accenting our destruction simulation with particles for sand and sparks, as well as Maya Fluids for fire and flame. Software required: Maya 2015, After Effects CC, RealFlow 2014.
