Data Visualization with Snowflake

by Thomas LeBlanc

How can a business intelligence group transition from relational database T-SQL to Snowflake SQL and functions? This course will teach you the ins and outs of writing Snowflake SQL statements to visualize data in analytical reporting tools.

What you'll learn

In order for visualizations to display correct analytics, Snowflake SQL and aggregation functions need to be in place to summarize and pinpoint data for KPIs. This code will need to take advantage of Snowflake-specific syntax that is sometimes different from relational database syntax.

In this course, Data Visualization with Snowflake, you will gain the skills to aggregate data using SQL in Snowflake. First, you will start with the syntax of Snowflake SQL for retrieving data. Next, you will see how to add SQL functions to SQL statements to enhance the aggregated data while visualizing in a Snowflake workspace. Finally, you will discover how the SQL created is used to import data in visualization tools, and how visuals are used for storytelling to enhance the visuals initially used in a Snowflake workspace. When you're finished with this course, you'll have the skills and knowledge of Snowflake needed to create successful data visualizations.
