What you'll learn

With so many options to build applications, it’s important to understand how and why the Salesforce platform works the way it does, and recognize when you’ll need to use code and when you can take advantage of platform capabilities by avoiding it. In this course, Salesforce Development: Fundamentals, you’ll learn all of the ways to develop on the Salesforce platform. First, you’ll explore how Salesforce works as a platform and the pros and cons of multi-tenant architecture. Next, you’ll discover the many tools that can be used to build on the platform using declarative functionality, not including any code. Finally, you’ll learn about the different design frameworks and see in action how to build using code on the platform. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll understand how Salesforce works and recognize the various ways to customize it to meet your business needs through both code based and non-code solution.
