Inter-AS and Multicast MPLS VPNs
No service provider will ever have 100% global coverage. As a result, carriers often must cooperate to deliver end-to-end services worldwide. This course examines multi-carrier integration along with their corresponding overlay services.
What you'll learn
As carriers seek to expand their customer base, inter-AS services become inevitable. In this course, Inter-AS and Multicast MPLS VPNs, you'll survey the two existing MPLS networks that must cooperate. These rely on different technologies to best represent reality. First, you'll learn how to perform a pre-migration network architecture review. Next, you'll examine the three standard options for building inter-AS MPLS L3VPNs, each of which has its benefits and drawbacks. Last, you'll expand the depths of this integration by adding L2VPNs and multicast VPNs across carrier boundaries. When you're finished with this course, you'll have the skills necessary to interconnect separate MPLS networks using several options and delivering a variety of network services.
