Information Systems Auditor: Acquisition and Development
This course contains an overview of the role of the auditor in reviewing the processes and procedures used in systems acquisition and application development. This is the third in a series of five courses helping you prepare for the CISA exam.
What you'll learn
As an auditor, you must be familiar with various types of IT systems and their associated risks. This course, Information Systems Auditor: Acquisition and Development, will help you gain that understanding. You'll start with understanding the justification and tracking of IT investments, as well as the auditing of IT projects and programs. Next, you'll see a brief overview of the various types of information systems. Finally, you'll see how to audit the systems development process and application controls. When you're finished with this course, you'll be able to competently assess the procedures related to systems acquisition and the process of software development.
