This course is part of a learning path for the CompTIA Tech+ Exam FC0-U71 focusing exclusively on the first half of Domain 2 - Infrastructure.
What you'll learn
Understanding the essential infrastructure of modern IT environments is critical for IT professionals. In this course, Infrastructure: Fundamentals of Computing Devices, Components, Storage, and Peripherals for CompTIA Tech+, you’ll learn to confidently identify and explain the various computing devices, internal components, storage, and peripheral basics necessary for the exam. First, you’ll explore common computing devices like smartphones, tablets, servers, and IoT devices, and understand their specific purposes. Next, you’ll discover the function of internal computing components, including motherboards, CPUs, and RAM, along with storage types and their comparisons. Finally, you’ll learn how to install and configure peripheral devices. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll be ready to proceed to the next course, covering the second half of Domain 2, and be well on your way to build the knowledge and skills needed in infrastructure essentials for the CompTIA Tech+ exam FC0-U71.
