Cisco dominates the IP communication industry by creating some of the world’s most diverse and reliable technology, with products like Jabber. Cisco Jabber creates an immersive face-to-face experience that lets users collaborate using a variety of devices. In Deploying Cisco Unified IM and Presence with Jabber, you will learn how to configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Cisco IM and Presence (IM&P) to support Jabber deployments. Next, you’ll learn how to create contacts using both LDAP and CUCM directories. You’ll also learn how to associate photos to your contacts using 3rd party applications, as well as by modifying Active Directory. In addition, you’ll learn how to customize Jabber by modify the jabber-config.xml file. Finally, you’ll learn how to troubleshoot potential issues by configuring an audio capture, examining communication in real time using RTMT, and collecting IM traces using RTMT. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge needed to deploy a Cisco Jabber solution within your collaboration network.
