Azure Compute Fundamentals

by Joseph Lowery

This course covers Azure compute fundamentals, including virtual machines, app services, and serverless computing, equipping you with the skills to deploy and manage cloud resources efficiently.

What you'll learn

Managing and deploying compute resources in the cloud can be complex, but it's essential for developing scalable, efficient applications and services. In this course, Azure Compute Fundamentals, you’ll learn to confidently navigate and manage core Azure compute services. First, you'll explore Azure virtual machines (VMs), the most foundational of all Azure compute resources. Next, you'll discover how to deploy VMs and manage compute resources using the Azure portal, Azure CLI, and ARM templates. Then, you'll investigate how to develop and deploy web applications with Azure App Service, a fully managed platform for hosting web applications. Finally, you'll learn how to create serverless applications using Azure Functions, a service that allows you to run code on-demand without managing infrastructure. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of Azure compute services needed to manage your cloud resources effectively.
