Apache Web Server Administration

by David Clinton

Around 30% of all websites are built on Apache servers. Yours could be next. This course will teach you the skills you'll need to quickly install, configure, and secure multiple websites on a single server.

What you'll learn

All websites are powered by web server software, and around 30% of them use Apache (HTTPD). While there's no limit to the complexity that's possible, the basics of Apache administration are actually fairly straightforward. In this course, Apache Web Server Administration, you’ll learn to install, configure, and deploy multiple websites on a single Apache server. First, you'll explore installing Apache on your own operating system and locating the key system files. Next, you'll discover how to access your server from a browser and how to manage the Apache system process. Finally, you'll learn how to set up multiple websites on a single server that can be accessed using unique domain names. When you’re finished with this course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge of Apache web servers needed to manage your own Apache-powered web server.
