In this series of lessons, we'll learn advanced uses of Autodesk's Render Manager Backburner and how to manually submit jobs in a variety of applications. We'll begin this project by going over basic command line job submission. We'll then learn more advanced tasks like breaking command line jobs into tasks and creating custom task lists. Once we understand command line job submission, we'll learn how to apply this knowledge to send scenes from applications such as: The Foundry's NUKE, Autodesk Softimage, and Adobe After Effects. We'll also decode the Toxik job script and learn how to create a single task job and how to create a re-startable Toxik job. Software required: Backburner 2008.
