In this hands-on lab, we will price out Compute Engine infrastructure to deploy in our environment using the Google Cloud Pricing Calculator. Then we will deploy all three instances using the Google Cloud Shell.

  1. Challenge

    Price Out and Estimate Using Compute Engine Instances

    Here you will price out using three Compute Engine instances for your deployment:

    1. Head to [Google Cloud Pricing Calculator]1. Select + Add to estimate.
    2. Select the plus icon next to Compute Engine.
    3. Enter the following information:
      • Number of instances 3
      • Provisioning Model Spot (Preemptible VM)
      • Series E2
      • Number of vCPUs 2
      • Amount of memory 1
      • Datacenter location South Carolina (us-east1)

  2. Challenge

    Deploy the Instances

    Here we will deploy our Compute Engine instances using Google Cloud Shell:

    1. Activate Google Cloud Shell Terminal.
    2. Deploy all three instances to view priced out calculation.
