Virtual Machine Learning Activity - VMs

In this hands-on lab, we're going to be using the provisioned servers to practice managing virtual machines in a RHEL7 environment. We'll start an instance, and then investigate the settings to discover the location of the VM storage. *This course is not approved or sponsored by Red Hat.*

Challenge

Find the Name of the Virtual Machine on the Server
1. Sudo into the root user:
```
[cloud_user@host]$ sudo -i 
```
2. List the installed virtual machines:
```
[root@host]# virsh list --all
```
Challenge

Start the VM
1. Start the VM:
```
[root@host]# virsh start centos7.0
```
Challenge

Determine the Location and Names of the Files that the VM Contains
1. Look at the configuration of an individual VM by running:
```
[root@host]# virsh edit centos7.0
```
2. What we'll see is an XML file. Sections labled disk contain the source file for all the disks allocated to the VM. We should see references to files in /var/lib/libvirt/images/, including centos7.0.
