Challenge
Create a Redshift Cluster
Launch the AWS management console, switch to Amazon Redshift service, and create a cluster.
-
Challenge
Create a Table and View
Use a SQL statement and create a schema and two tables. Then, create a view to restrict access to specific data.
-
Challenge
Improve Query Performance with Distribution Style
Use the SQL EXPLAIN statement to analyze the cost of executing a query with a “join” statement. Then, change the distribution style and the distribution key to see the performance improvement.

Challenge
Improve Query Performance with Sortkey
Write a query that filters data using a specific column in the where clause. Use the SQL EXPLAIN statement to analyze the cost of executing it. Update the table to use this column as the sort key and re-run the query to see the performance improvement.
