Creating an S3 Storage Lifecycle
In this lab you will be taking on the role of a cloud data engineer, and you have been asked to help reduce storage costs by transitioning S3 objects to cheaper storage classes. You’ve been asked to transition objects to Standard-IA after 30 days, and expire the objects after one year.

Upload an object to the S3 bucket.
Navigate to the S3 service and upload a small text document to the S3 bucket.

Create an S3 lifecycle for the S3 bucket
From the bucket management menu, create an S3 lifecycle.

Add relevant transitions to the S3 lifecycle policy
Set the S3 lifecycle to transfer all objects to 'Standard-IA' after 30 days, and expire all objects after 365 days.

Verify your lifecycle policy
Navigate to the text file and check to see if the lifecycle policy has been applied.
