Umair Mufti

Umair Mufti tore the case off of his first computer in 1986 and hasn’t stopped his pursuit of knowledge since. He holds patents in five countries; has founded multiple companies; contributed to numerous open-source projects; and, has presented at international conferences such as KubeCon Europe. Umair currently manages data services operations at DreamWorks Animation where he has led the adoption of site reliability engineering and built a database-as-a-service platform. Previously, as a software developer, Umair consulted for countless Fortune 500 companies as well as the US Government. He continues to advise startups on matters of business and technology. When not at home in Los Angeles with his wife and husky, he can be found watching baseball at Dodger Stadium or traveling the world in search of good food and good conversation.
