What you'll learn
In this series of ZBrush tutorials, we will sketch up a basic mesh, detail it, and texture it. The design will be based on classic Lovecraftian monsters. We will begin by brainstorming and sketching out a basic Lovecraftian monster design. We will first block out a very simple mesh and then start to detail and shape up the forms. Eventually, we will texture it to a feature film-quality resolution and add some fur with FiberMesh. Then, we will play with an HDRI image to show how to quickly set up lighting within ZBrush. Software required: ZBrush 4R3.
