Building an Interactive Day Night Cycle Game in Unreal Engine
In this Unreal Engine tutorial, we'll build a day night cycle game and multiple re-usable props, which will connect and respond to the system. Software required: Unreal Engine 4, Maya 2015.
What you'll learn
In this Unreal Engine tutorial, we'll build a day night cycle game and multiple re-usable props, which will connect and respond to the system. In addition we'll dig in and customize the sky dome that comes with the Unreal. We'll modify and expand the cloud system, creating our own custom sky and stars. We'll turn on Unreal's new advanced, real-time lighting system; mesh distance fields; discuss DFAO and SSAO; and finally build a dynamic post-processing system. We'll then build a multi-stage logic system. By the end of this Unreal Engine training you'll have a solid understanding of how to build an interactive and expandable set of blueprint props, advanced lighting, and post-processing. Software required: Unreal Engine 4, Maya 2015.
