LINQ

MS finally announced Language Integrated Query for .NET. I was still at MS when this idea started to gain real momentum after X# and other projects made initial headway in this space. The possibilities for solving both the O/R and O/X mapping problems are fantastic. This stuff can't come soon enough. There is a tech preview that runs on Whidbey Beta 2. Microsoft: please, please, please get this out as soon as you possibly can. Anyway, check it out:

Interesting. I use LLBLGen Pro as an O/R Mapper and it's very nice. Check out this post: http://weblogs.asp.net/fbouma/archive/2005/09/13/425063.aspx. I'm curious what your thoughts are on attribute-based O/R mapping.

Hi Tim,

Was this an ironic post?
:-)
I thought you were against generic mappers of this kind?

Best Regards,
Jimmy
