Rick Cameron recently put together another example of the ACLUI adapter at work. His sample edits ACLs for network shares. He's made the code available on his website in case any of you are interested in giving it a whirl.

I would really like to use this, but I can't get it nor the supporting code from SecurityBriefs0503 to compile in VS2005, as the compiler squawks about deprecated this and that. Is there some compile switch I can use in VS2005 to emulate VS2003 rules? If not, any chance, Keith, of revising the AclAdapter code to the new managed C++ rules in .NET 2.0? I gave it a try myself, but quickly got stuck on some of the conversions...

Pat,

Yea I really need to do that. I should have some spare cycles this week, so I'll see if I can get it done.
