New security book on the shelves

Security Briefs

Mike Howard and David LeBlanc, authors of Writing Secure Code (the best security book for Windows coders) have teamed up with John Viega, coauthor of Building Secure Software (the best security book for Unix coders), to put together 19 Deadly Sins of Software Security.

I spoke with Mike recently and asked him how big this new book was going to be - I'm of the opinion that concise books on security are what developers need these days to lure them to learn about the subject. He assured me that the new book is much easier to consume than his previous tome :-)

I've ordered my copy,. and you should too.
