A brand new Windows Mobile device display type is about to hit the market - Both the Motorola Q SmartPhone and the Samsung i320 SmartPhone are about to be released and both devices have a landscape screen orientation (320x240).
These are the first SmartPhones to hit the market that have landscape displays. This means that if you have written or support any Windows Mobile SmartPhone applications, there's a good chance that your application User Interface may not work so well on these devices.
Basically the way to be ready for these devices when they hit the market is to verify your application(s) behavior now, before the landscape SmartPhones are released. Visual Studio 2005 does not provide a Landscape SmartPhone Emulator but not to worry - Microsoft has just posted a 320x240 Landscape SmartPhone Emulater Download that integrates into with Visual Studio 2005.
From all I've heard, these devices are expected to be big sellers so you'll want to take the time as soon as you can to verify your app with the new emulator - there's a vary good chance that you will have users who purchase one very soon.
