At 11:25am on July 7, 2006 I completed the last chapter of Essential ASP.NET 2.0 - I may actually get to enjoy some of the rest of the summer without writing deadlines over my head :) Keith is finishing his last chapter this weekend, so we will have the entire manuscript out for review beginning Monday.
 
My editor has said she'll do her best to get the physical book out in time for TechEd Europe which starts Nov. 7, where Keith, Aaron, Ian, and I will be presenting a pre-conference tutorial and several sessions as well. We (Pluralsight) will have a booth there too, so if you can make it, come see us in Barcelona and come away with a signed copy of the new book :)

Mike - it needs to go through review, editorial, and then production, so it takes some time.

Eric - It may be available on Safari as my last one was, but I'm not sure of the details at this point.

You may not know this info, but if you do...

What does the schedule look like now? I would imagine you go back and forth with the editors (both general and technical) about reviews and such. Then the typesetting and layout of the book occurs. Then it's off to the printers. Then it ends up in the Amazon.com warehouses. Finally it ends up in my hands. What steps am I forgetting?

I thought Chris Sells trip to see his book being printed was very interesting.

why don't you publish the book as a pdf?

I'm waiting for your book since... And I think that in my language it will be in a year:-(.
(if you need some help - I can translate it)

I agree with previous messages - in pdf form it would be perfect!
