Stackless CLR?

Following up on the continuations thread, Joe Duffy is coming to the conclusion that the stack is evil.

I've been spending time with Dharma lately and God knows he's trying to break us free of those EBP chains.

Maybe Joe can wield his power on the 2nd floor to get the CLR to kick the habit as well.

BPEL/XOML:
Continuation - check
Asyn comm coordination - check
State persistance - check
Concurrency/Syncronization - check
Transparency - check

All in one package. Go Dharma!

I forgot to say how well these "languages" map to the issues, taking the web from a choreographically scattered process model to a centralized orchestratated one.

For instant stackless-ness, just add support for the goto statement and use it everywhere instead of function calls :)

Don Box might be working on a new threading model for the CLR.
