First, it kills me that Chris is using Python rather than Ruby - the lack of a CLR-based Ruby is sorely noticed. We have two ML variants (SML.NET and F#), why can't we fund a Ruby implementation?
More importantly, I think the C++ hangover that influenced Java and C# has peaked (sorry
Herb).
Like Chris, I'm hopeful that flexibility and productivity will be the mantras at
home and maybe even
abroad.
