- Contract-First Web Services: Step-by-Step
- BizTalk Contracts and the Web Services Publishing Wizard
- Migrating ASMX to Indigo
Tim Ewald and I will most likely tag team the first talk. It will cut through the debate surrounding contract-first development and provide practical guidance, step-by-step instructions, on how to use contract-first techniques with today's tools. We'll also discuss where the tools, such us Whitehorse, are headed in this area down the road. The BizTalk session is for developers using contract-first techniques but with BizTalk orchestrations. BizTalk is already very contract-first by nature, but when you need to publish an orchestration as a WS, it assumes that you need/want to generate ASMX. We'll discuss a practical technique for short-circuiting the WS publishing wizard. I've been working with
James Saull on this so I'm hoping he can join me as well. The last session is focused on the specific migration issues of moving your ASMX code base forward to the world of Indigo.
If you're interested in any of these sessions, please
go vote for them now. I will also be presenting a general session on Biztalk in the
CSI track (Expanding your .Net development portfolio with BizTalk Server).
See you in Orlando!
Update: I've confirmed with Tim that he'll be presenting the Contract-First session with me. So if you haven't had enough of our blog rants, come catch us in person! ;-)
